I can get them for $200 with the employee discount at one of the places I work. He just ordered 10 sets, different oversizes.
I think he's keeping 5 sets and selling the rest.
I'm not sure if the order is in yet.
 I'll ask tomorrow.

I might be interested in 2 sets if I can get one of them in a 4th over (81.00mm) for my frankenmotor, and the other as a 1st over for my 1.6td.

Tim :)

I checked with him today and they aren't in yet and he's not sure exactly when they will be getting here. He thought they'd be here by now so they should be in soon.
I also checked to see where they are coming from (because someone mentioned the ones made in Brazil are junkish) and he said Germany.
I need some 77.48 and I thought that was the largest size.
 I don't think the 1.6 TD pistons come in a 81.00mm.
I just checked with Mr. Bentley and he says 77.48 is the third oversize and doesn't mention a 4th over.
Are these 81.00mm normally for something other than the 1.6TD?

I was thinking of doing a sort of group buy. Hard to do a group buy when he doesn't even have them yet but it would be nice to have orders ready when they do come in so someone else doesn't get our pistons, leaving us to pay more/wait till the next order or both.
This post probably belongs in the for sale/wanted fora.

So I sent this email...

1st in English..
Quote
Can you deliver the pistons to the USA? Can you get 1.00mm over size?
Im using an online translation because I am too lazy to learn another language.
I hope I am not insulting you.

Danke-
Bryan Warmuskerken

Using Babelfish it comes out like this..

Quote
 Danke-
Bryan Warmuskerken

which translated by babelfish says this...

Quote
Can you supply the pistons to the USA? Can you receive oversizing to 1.00mm? Using in an on-line translation, because I am too putrid to learn another language. I hope that I do not insult you. Thank Bryan Warmuskerken

Interesting -- those German ebay turbo pistons seem to have 2 squirter cutouts each, why would that be  :?:

Kudagra:  Let us know what you find out about shipping to N. America from this supplier.

Fatmobile:  If you can arrange a group buy from your supplier I might be interested, I'm looking for .5mm (2nd) overs.

JX is the T3 engine, or 1.6TD vanagon to you lot.
Maybe to do with the 50 degree angle the engine is mounted at?

Yes indeed Mr. Yard sir, and thank you  :D

So about $190 USD for turbo kolbens from der vaterland -- sounds good!
But will they ship over here, and if so, for how much?
