Hi all.
Does anybody have a pd130 in their mk2 golf?
I've been talking about this for a long time now but am finally under way.
I am going to use cable change 5 speed box from a mk3 golf.
I will need some help with the wiring for sure.
if someone had this conversion done it would be of great benefit to me.
Thanks..

cable shift trans as in 02A type?
mk3 came with both 020 (weak) and 02A (stronger) trannies in them, depending on engine application.
i dont see why it couldnt be done.. with enough money, time, smarts, tools, and determination..
wiring is going to be the hardest part. not quite sure what you are going to have to do there..
ive never seen a PD engine in a mk2 before.. sure would be cool tho.
Hi and thanks for your reply.
I'm definitely going to do this conversion.
It is an 02A i'm using.
I'm going to use the ce1 mk2 loom that's currently in the van and hope to just use as much of the pd loom as is necessary.
I'd be interested if anyone could shed any light on the wiring.
Thanks.

i know your going to have to use ALOT of the PD wiring..
idk if they have tunes that remove the immobilizer yet..
Hi. I don't need the immo removed because i have the chip/transponder and ring.
there has been a few done freds tdi have a look on there
Thanks for the replies lads.
For the immo to work you will also require the cluster. Best bet is to have the complete pd130 car to rob the necessary wiring from. I just completed a pd130 (bhw) swap from a diesel passat to a gas passat and the wiring was not too bad. The EDC16 ecm and engine wiring is confined to under the hood. The connections to the chassis wiring are minimal. Maybe 20 wires total. Power supply, pedal sensors/switches, instruments and 2 canbus wires to the cluster. If you can't fit the cluster or hate wiring then an immo delete would be the easy answer. Saves you trying to sort out the cluster wiring...
