Depends on everything. Mileage on engine/rebuild, compression, oil pressure. I would say a range for a running engine would be from 200.00 = steal to 3,000.00 = better be new or you are getting ripped

Thanks. I bought the whole car. It's a little rough but the engine runs great. Will be parting it out or selling the whole deal.

autumn tan? is that the hideous tan/beige interior found in westy rabbits?
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

Glad you got the whole '84.
They are my favorite Rabbit. They have things the others don't.
Like wheel well liners and the front bumper cover plate thing, better sound deadening on the firewall, a speedometer that goes higher, a flywheel with the degrees stamped into it, etc.
I could probably use a spare raditator for my '84.
Tornado red, '91 Golf 4 door,
with a re-ringed, '84 quantum, turbo diesel, MD block

I'm trying to sell it as a complete car first. I would love to keep it but making money right now trumps my wants. Here it is listed on CL. If I had a title I could have sold it three times now. If I don't get any interest in a while I may see what I can do about a title.
