Reseal kit availability
« on: October 13, 2012, 12:20:28 pm »
Anyone please have a current link for buying a pump reseal kit WITH the front 17 mm seal?
OTHER than the person currently offering on ebay?

I need more than one of these and the seller on ebay makes me beg to know if he will combine shipping....isn't this an obvious question that he should cover in his ad?

Is it really that hard to ask a seller a question?

Sam is no longer a member of ebay.
The other person does not have two kits.

Still looking for alternatives.

Giles also sells kits. They are cheaper in the US though because of Bosch's import policies.  ::)

Bosch doesn't sell a kit for our pumps that includes the 17mm shaft seal.  Regardless, any local Bosch shop should have an appropriate kit and the shaft seals on hand.

Well, here's the deal:  my local Bosch dealer/repair place does sell these pieces. But, they have a 55 gallon drum out back with handles on it, for some reason. Darned drum is lying on it's side.....

I've paid this local guy $32 for the 17 mm seal alone. No thanks. Still hurts some.

I bought the last kit the ebay guy had and he has promised to notify when more come in. Looks like it is time to begin hoarding.

I think what is supposed to happen in that scene is you give the guy the jar of vaseline from the middle of the handlebars and you reach into the very bottom of that drum...slowly to retrive your kit.

Industrial place across the road  just ordered me a Viton seal from their other warehouse, $11 for Wed AM.
Non Viton was $6
I'll inspect and try it out, and if they are good, I'm sure they'd be happier to sell me a box than singles.
