• the hose that runs between the cooler, pump, and head on my AAZ died yesterday at the tee intersection.  the part number on the hose that came off the motor is 028 121 058B.  I noticed that the one Mk1AutoHaus sells is 027 121 053B.  Are these hoses compatible? they appear very similar and the part numbers sure couldn't get any closer.  I would hate to order the pricey silicone hose to find out that one of the inside diameters was different.

• The silicone one will be too short. The 1.9 AAZ has a taller block than the 1.6 ME/MF engines.

• I would think it would be any of the taller blocks. AHU and 1z would be the same as what you need. Gasser I think was called ABA? I am not sure on gas stuff, but I am pretty sure that one was taller. There maybe more gassers that would work.

• gasser no work... period... the upper neck hose location is in wrong place.. to put on diesel kinks/pinches it... now can you cut it, add a sleve to it to mod this angle.. yea can be done.. but why not get proper one?? for you the 96-99.5 jetta/passat tdi hose is the one thats direct fit..
