Have two, plans to use them just not happening!
Both should be considered cores, $400 each, one is complete and broken injector thread on cyl head (was running and tuned, very nice) other is apart and needs overhaul. Have pretty much everything for both engines, turbos, manifolds, pumps, etc. Also have some new parts such as gaskets, filters, belts etc. Instrument cluster.
Imported both from the US (VA and TX), both very clean engines not rusty, sitting for many years now one indoors with all parts for both, one outdoors and covered)
Can provide detail pics, details etc, just show some interest!

once i get mine done, we will be the coolest people on the board!!
there are a couple other TD5 owners out there, but they are all stock, that i know of..
i want a VNT powered diesel Coupe GT in the worst of ways..
not like a CGT is rare in any ways, but they sure arent common, and especially not a nice one like mine..
a UR-Quattro, Sport Quattro, or 4000Q coupe would all be IDEAL platforms to drop a diesel in..
the sport-q and 4k CQ are both shorter wheelbase than the regular 4000/Q, or the UR, or the CGT..

There is a 4000quattro right beside the engines...and a vanagon (south africa had this engine installed in it) or a 100 quattro. I just cannot find the time to get them into the car or van. I have to do something with them, someone else matters well enjoy them! I thought a quantum would be the best though, syncro wagon of course. I was also thinking about my Lesharo with a Renault diesel, but I don't have a trans yet that fits the 5 cyl (it is longitudinal and front wheel drive, like a fox or fwd 4000/5000). I am just able to maintain what is on the road right now, no time for the "restorations"

willing to part these engines if you can't sell them whole? I pulled the head on my 2.0TD and it looks like I may need one...there is severe cracking between the valves on all the cylinders..you might want to check yours before trying to sell them to somebody unbeknownst to them...

If you decide to part an engine, and are willing to ship to the USA, I would be interested in a block.

Hi, yeah, I started the 100 build thread on this forum though. I saw you WTB ad on MG and was going to refer you to here, but then I saw that you already posted here too.

Hey thanks! I was wondering why you would want an archane old IDI block!

I am willing to ship from Ontario, and yes if you guys want to split an engine no problem selling to each of you! I am very flexible, but need to confirm both sales before I separate. I would discount if you just need short block and head not pump turbo etc.

That would work for me. I'm primarily interested in the entire short block - Block (preferably not machined previously), crank, rods, V-belt pulley, etc. Would also be interested in a good vacuum pump and turbo oil lines.

Is any of this stuff still available? I'm starting a project to put the 2.0TD into a Quantum Syncro Wagon and will be looking for parts. Spare parts, maintenance parts, etc.: head, injection pump, hoses, vac pump, etc.
