Are they any good? or are they one step up from an non-LDA eco-diesel pump?

What do you mean by split ring? In stock form, a 1.6TD pump puts out the most fuel

The later AAZ pump that uses the TDI lock pin for timing.

It's the same as the early ones, just uses a different main body.
