parting out my mk2 Jetta with aaz swap
« on: August 17, 2012, 04:54:06 pm »
This is just to get some requests going as I need to remove the car from its sitting spot asap. Message me your requests!
Clutch and 90amp alternator near new condition have reciepts for both. Car is complete as of right now.minus driver side axle. Will post more details later today.
Turbo, rear window regulators accounted for.

I am not trying to make tons of money off parting my car out - I genuinely just want someone to get some more use out of these still excellent working condition parts
The items I am hoping someone will want (because they are still good) are as follows:

  • AAZ head - ported heavily with nice titanium valves. Haven't looked at it since I built it 2 years or so ago but I bought it new for about $600 with all the internal parts. It's a chinese cast head that I cleaned up.
  • ARP head studs washers & nuts. IIRC I am missing one washer for the set.
[/s]
  • 1.6td injection pump nicely tuned by yours truely. Awesome timing advance on it. Flows massive amounts of[/s] fuel... really easy to time - it's never given me any weird problems. Cold start still works great.
  • Stainless lines I bought from prothe. They don't leak but I did have to bend them to make the 1.6 pump fit on the AAZ engine.
[/s]
  • Injectors from prothe as well. They also haven't given me any issues.
[/s]
  • The clutch is brand spanking new. I think it has about 3-400km on it. If I pulled it out and sprayed it with brake cleaner im sure it would still look brand new.
[/s]
  • I took the 020 trans apart as some of you may know and everything inside it looks great. I know they are a dime a dozen but if someone is near southern BC... new pushrod in it. Same age as the clutch - so is the manual cable.
  • I bought a 90 amp alternator near the end of the winter for 200+ bucks. I still have the receipt for it from Bosch. If someone wants it that would be cool too.
  • I have a 1.9KW Bosch starter as well which is still working great (better than the one in the golf i bought - i wonder if i can swap it into the golf...)
  • The drums are in good order and I just put new bearings in the rears about a week ago.
[/s]
  • The non-tach dash still all works great. It has red LED's for lights. I'll give that to someone for free if they need a cluster. The odometer reads 400k+.
[/s]
  • The seats are all good too. no tears or excessive wear. The carpet isn't worth doing anything with. The door cards are also in pretty good shape. but they are blue...
  • The front doors have new window regulators in them.
Will add more and pictures.

Please do not hesitate to message me asking for parts/pricing what ever. Would love to have a chat - there is nothing wrong with asking! Please also remember that shipping isn't free and include where you live so I can give you an accurate guess as to how much it will cost me to send it to you and therefore how much I would ask for the item!  :D

im in bay area zip code:  95831

i would be interested in hearing a quote shipped for the injection pump?  if i got it do you suggest i reseal it?

are the head studs for use on 1.6td engine?  can i get the washer at the local hardware store or are they special?

also might be interested in all the seatbelt parts for the front if i can swap them into my 79 rabbit.  i don't want the type that connect to the door like it does.

If it was a 4 door I would like the passenger rear door latch. The part that actually holds the door shut, usually a zinc yellow color...the part that has the child safety lock. Let me know what you want and I will see.

To everyone who has messaged me: I will get back to you - I've just been very busy lately with work (transferring locations) moving and acquiring the 2000 tdi golf. To those wanting parts I am aiming to have everything im going to take off the car off and sent out in the next 2 weeks. The car has to be gone from where it sits as soon as possible so I am working hard to get you your parts! Please bare with me =)

Hey, before I forget I need all the rubber pieces for around the door handles. I really only need 2 but I would take them all if you wanted to send them with the lock piece. If my description is off, the 1/2"x1" or so and the 2"x1" or so pieces that go around the front and back of the door handles. Let me know, Lucas><>

I am receiving a very large volume of PMs from lots of people so I apologize if I message you 2 or 3 times saying the same or similar things. I'm concerned more that I reply to you over how many times I reply to you. Having a tough time staying organized :P
