I screwed up the sleeve bearing on my trans that's inside the selector housing that the selector shaft rides on. My idea here is to machine some brass or heavy duty plastic to replace the bearing. Thoughts? Could anyone make these?
try robert, the guy who makes the intermediate shaft bearing removal/replacement tools?
rdezsofi on vwvortex. i think he's on here too.
I'm sure it could be done. But the cost of a used 020 trans is low enough that I would be hesitant to spend money on custom-made parts.

I'm a machinist. A used 020 would be cheaper....
I ended up getting the sleeve bearing thru the dealer for 13.50 tapped it out with an 18mm socket perfect diameter to tap it out with.
