Anyone know where I can buy a turbo outlet flange for an AAZ/AHU/1Z/AFN K03 turbo?

When vdubspeed put one of those on his 1.6 he couldn't find it and ended up just buying the prothe down pipe and modifying it.  Which may just be ur best bet, despite the qualms many have about prothe

034motorsport has a lot of flanges, but they don't appear to have the VW AAZ/TDI K03 turbo outlet flange.

x2...

Vdubspeed looked ALOT, and looked hard..

never found a better flange than the prothe downpipe..

i know how we all love prothe, but if he is the only one offering something, then what other options do you have?

one solution, would be to find a shop with a torch-mate, and CAD one up..

i cut all my VNT flanges on the torch-mate in class..

my welding instructor loved it when i would work on my own projects in class, rather than just weld pieces of steel together for practice.

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

I have an AAZ/KO3 downpipe in my garage.  It's not for sale but I can take pictures and measurements if anyone wants them.

ill ask.. is not aaz top mounted where tdi is bottom mounted? aaz would be same as say a older t3 style 4 bolt one?

for my stock 98 jetta tdi turbo i got a piece of plate steel... used a torch to shape it... added big hole in middle.. as big as i could to not be out side of the turbo castin.. almost 2.5" but not quite.. kinda square in design.. used the gasket to make the pattern...

i picked up a t3 style stainless flange in 2.5" for 20ish from amazon.. one day ill get one fo rmy project.. but for now the flange hangs on my wall.. with v bands waiting to build..

The K03 outlet flange is the same for the AAZ or TDI.  The difference in the manifolds causes the turbo to be rotated differently, but the flange is the same.  Neither K03 has a square flange.

on my AAZ/KO3 the manifold to turbo flange is a triangle with 3 bolts.  the turbo to downpipe is 4 bolts and somewhat square. if i remember correctly (engine is out of car), it points towards the driver side???

Ya might want to try Techtonics Tuning here in Oregon. Ask to talk with Josh. He might be able to help you out with a flange.

I have the capacity and have made quite a few flanges.  If I can find one for $20-30 tho, it's not really worth my time.  Despite all that, this thread was on behalf of a friend of mine who lives in New Mexico.

lasercutting is the best option by far - its cheap and easy. if you can cad one up, you can find a lasercutter who will cut it for you. They usually take dxf's.

Libby, how bou't this, I'm more familiar with numbers like 14-71 rather than K03, just thinking the K and T outlets might be the same?
