Hey guys. You may remember this from a couple of years ago. Unfortunately there were a number of hurdles that kept it from working out. In this time I've been able to find solutions to those issues and I'm back at it. Better late than never?
After hunting down some pristine a-pillar trim I made molds to be able to reproduce the trim as needed. Working from the last mk1 pod I'm now at a place where I need to check the fit and the end is in sight.
Unlike the last stab at this I'm not making a one part fits all because it may be impossible. For that reason it won't fit cars not already equipt with a-pillar trim without modification.
Just wanted to let you all know. I'll be posting photos later.

I may be. What models/trims is it supposed to fit? I've an '81 truck with very little interior except for the dash and seats, no trim whatsoever.

from what i know about this pod it was designed for a late model mk1 that has a glue in windshield, the rope in windshields don't allow enough room for the gauge pod to rest correctly on the a pillar.

Are you making these? Or just have this one to sell?
If you are making them and they will fit an 84 Jetta, ill be down for two of them for sure.

they fit 83 and 84 Rabbits ONLY..
you can cut up the pod and KINDA make it work for them as well, but jake made 2 versions of these pods..
early mk1/jetta/caddy version for the rubber seal window..
and a late mk1 version for the glue in window..
