In many years of wrenching I have found that my mindset it my GREATEST TOOL to accomplishing the task at hand. If I am worried or panicking, then I am entirely off my game, break things, screw things up, do it in the wrong order, etc. Three hard steps forward that result in sliding back four. If I start to get worried or panicked, I STOP doing what I'm doing. The only thing that mindset will create is greater and greater emergencies. It is literally better to do nothing or take an alternative approach. Yes, there are ALWAYS alternatives. If, on the other hand, I am focused primarily on the positive desired result of an easily accomplished task and a properly running vehicle, then I find myself enjoying the process and instinctually/subconsciously doing the things that assist me in arriving at that goal. As always, your mileage may vary.
