Questions on front struts for a 1992 cabriolet?
« on: July 28, 2012, 05:26:26 am »
What springs would fit a 1992 cabriolet? I know the cabby is suppose to be almost exactly a copy of the gti, but will any year rabbit front struts fit?

yes any mk1 75-84 bunny/jetta/caddy are same... but if jut doing inserts you need  to see if you have internal or external nut holding the insert in.. sadly the strut housings can be swapped over the years.. thinking  oriinal 92 may not be able to change inserts.. so need to look at/for the nut...

the koni yellow adjustables are impressing me on my kubvan... but almost 200 each... i got my pair used for far less..

old boge turbos if you can find a set are nice... but sachs took them over and well suck now...

bilstine... their warentee service sucked... but ride nice till that point..

It looks like one front strut was replaced, so I am clueless about how these 2 compare, whether the inserts are replaceable or not.
