So an elderly gentleman I know has been a fanatic of these kind of cars for 30 years and he just informed me that he is getting too old to continue the hobby and he is now at a point where he wants to sell off his collection of stuff. He asked me if I would let anyone I know who may be interested in this stuff so they can come get it.
He has a lot of MK1 body pieces such as fenders, doors, hatches, grilles, wheels, plastic pieces, those sorts of things.
He also owns a turbo diesel MK1 Jetta (I think he's more reluctant to sell it but he said he would). The engine is in great condition, the rest of the car is in fair condition.
I don't want to give his contact information out to the internet but he said I could give out his number to people he has not met that may be interested in his stuff and that this would be doing him a favor. PM me with your information (name, phone and what you're looking to buy, which I will keep on record) and I will get back to you with his name and telephone number or will forward the information to him, according to my judgment. I may want him to call you if you are a new member or if I don't know who you are.
These items are located in Ontario, California (east of LA) and I don't think he would be willing to ship or take pictures. Be forewarned that he knows his stuff as far as VW parts, he knows what's rare and what isn't and he expects people to offer reasonable prices for what he has.
