it's hard to get cheap insurance when ur 17  i have pretty much every discount i can get and i still pay over 1500 a year.  blah

yeah insurance isent cheap when your young, I'm 18 and i also pay 1500 a year. I think it may be partialy because of drivers like me who have a heavy right foot.

My mom is primary owner on my car.

Also, I'm not a true driver yet.

Therefore, insurance is damn cheap.

FWIW, some people over at TDIClub have said that the T in TDI has made them pay more in insurance.

Guess the insurance companies don't care for turbos. :P

I pay as much for my rabbit as for my truck, which is 4wd, weighs almost twice as much, and has a turbo.  But the rabbit comes up as a GTI in their computer, so I guess they think I'm racing it around (yeah! with all 52 hp).  Really none of them are bad, as I've passed the 25 mark.  I hear it goes down again at 50, but that'll be a while.

so far ive been lucky and stayed out of accidents, accept for one where some hill billy in the school parking lot back into my car while 4 people were yelling and telling him to stop.  i was so pissed.  my effing 2 door jetta, it had such a straight body....  then he tried to tell his insurance it was my fault  with some dumb bs story... anyway.
