If eliminating the oil to water exchanger, you should not run the copper hose like that.  That allows coolant to bypass the radiator under all conditions.  The right way to eliminate the oil to water exchanger is to plug both lines or to use a non-turbo (no exchanger) bypass hose and plug the bottom.

This is very true, that is an old pic I did indeed  block the two oil cooler coolant hoses so that coolant would only flow through rad

Right on.  BTW that looks like a great price for what you're selling.  If I was in the market for an engine I would snatch that right up.

very streetable, its a diesel!

you gotta have an engine like Andy2 before you cant street it anymore..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

This setup is very streetable. It was in my mk1 cabriolet and used as a daily driver for a summer. Members on this board (burn_your_money and Dr. Diesel) have been in my car with this motor in it.

I'm seriously considering selling my 4Runner for this so I'm going to ask a lot of questions, sorry.
What needs to be done to connect speedo? Tach? Exhaust? IC? do you have it pulled already or is it still in the cabby?
I'm looking to put it in my '81 NA Caddy. How much shipped to 83440 ID?

T'is true. It was a fast and noisy car (placement of air filter, nothing to do with the engine, don't put the air filter in the rain tray if you like quiet).

Good honest seller as well

If I liked turbos, and needed a motor, and had money, I'd buy it :P

The turbo is not a normal hybrid-- meaning not a K24 with a k26 compressor section installed. It is a K26 installed into a K24. They bored the hot side out to fit the K26 turbine wheel. Compared to a standard K26, the exhaust scroll is smaller. We all know a healthy K24 can make 35 psi on a 1.6 and a little over 30 on a 1.9, so that smaller scroll isn't presenting much of a problem. In fact, it spools up the bigger, higher flow turbine faster than in a standard K26 configuration. So if anything, it it less restrictive than a K24, while enjoying spoolup times very similar to a K24. As you can see by the dynograph, this is NOT a peaky engine. The best part is, 152/254 was done on a paltry 24 psi.
This is an easy 200hp/350ft.lb. engine with more boost.
Whoever ends up with it will be quite satisfied with its as-is performance, and range of further tuning.
I repair, maintain and modify VW's and BMW's.
Good work done at affordable rates. Welding and fabricating, too.
Performance Diesel Injection's Super Pump: gotta have one!
