Feeler: 1986 VW Jetta
« on: May 14, 2012, 06:02:32 pm »
I have an 86 Jetta, wolfsberg, that if you have been around long enough you will have seen my build. If you haven't there is still my link in the sig, but a ton of pics aren't working.
Basically, right now there is no engine, but if I buy the Kubvan 1.6 n/a, I will swap that in, Or you let me know what you think of it without engine. I have a few trans to work with as well.

Low down: Everything has been replaced for the most part. I welded in new galvanized floors. 7" round core support and headlights. Every piece of bushings up front have been done in prothane. Front strut tower brace. Vented rotors. New calipers, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, ebrake cables. Struts. 100mm axles that depending on trans or lack thereof could be 90mm if you wanted. AGS completely rebuilt by brokevw with 3.67 gears and 100mm CV and the 80% peloquin shims. Big FMIC and piping. Bead blasted snowflakes and 90% tires on them. Big ball joint, big bearing spindles with new ball joint and bearings in them. New control arms. Scuffed and painted 2 years ago. Custom center consol with Autometer gauges and a westach EGT gauge. I ran it 40,000 miles with the proportioning valve deleted. Relayed the headlights. GTI 4 button steering wheel or stock. Probably forgot more too.

Basically, the rad and shell are stock. If you want it to be 100% perfect get a new center consol and a proportioning valve that mounts in the rear to bais brakes. Let me know what you'd give for it in any combination...Don't be dumb about it either.

What a dark day, man.
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.

Just a feeler...I am not going to give it away if it goes as there are thousands of dollars in the shell alone. Just seeing what people are thinking. Also, if it doesn't work out, I love this car so if I have to keep it it isn't a problem for me.

To Justin: What do you want me to email you?
