Sorry for the 3 different topics about my swap,. But all the questions are not related.. So again, we swapped out a 1.6td motor from our 91 golf. And put in a motor from a 97 Jetta (aaz)... Now since the exhaust does not bolt up as we all know.. And the flex pipe is leaking.. I'm wondering is there any advantage to get a custom downpipe made with bigger exhaust pipe? Or on the 1.9td the downpipe is not a restricting factor?

I would like more power ;) and since my downpipe is no good.. Was wondering if I can push more power out of it :P

Thanks again :D

More flow, in turn meaning a possibley slighty faster spool and good chance of lower EGT's - and a happier turbo and engine :)

That is if you go bigger, 2.5" is a good size
