I have done several searches and I would like more input from the many pump gurus here on the high idle screw. My car is 86 with the 1.6 NA pump, resealed at the shop 6 years ago and not touched until now. I have installed a K24 and boost and EGT gauges and l am starting to look for more power. I went over and worked with a friend on his pump a little and got back and looked at mine and started to tinker, the first thing I thought was to check if I was getting all I could out of it at this setting. I started to back out the high idle screw and got 1.5 turns with no problem and decided to research it before going further. So should I set this to take the pressure of the cable, just before binding internally or is there something else to consider?

Yes, I realize the gov mod will increase the fuel, this is just the first step. I have actually read all those posts. It is just this first basic item wasn't addressed that I could see.
