Can I run a diesel with a gas exhaust.

So I have a 1.6 N/A but I didn't have time to remove the gas exhaust. Still have the cat, centre muffler and rear muffler is it ok if I run like this for a while? Thanks.

Might clog up the catalytic converter after a while, but other then that should be fine for short-term.  Just get a cat delete pipe in the near foreseeable future.

and keep in mind that your older euro cat might be worth some cash if not damaged

They're worth money even if they are damaged, there's a reasonable quantity of platinum and a few other metals worth harvesting out of used convertors.

and older euro and jap cars normally have lots more, like some places give $100 bucks for a used cat.

factory toyotas, you take off the cat, sell it, go buy a low platinum new cat for halve what you got from the scrapper

yeah, but you gotta find the end buyer... otherwise you could get jacked.

v-6 toyota factory cats from 88-95 I could get $100 from the 3rd tier buyer I think? maybe only 2nd tier, he has to make money on the deal, then the other guy has to make money on the deal. but Ive seen like 4th tier only give like $30 for that same cat

Wouldn't hurt, just don't forget about it.

So you all set up yet?  Need any other parts or questions answered?

And then go get a new cat when you need to pass smog or air care or what have you. It's not worth it.

only talking if your current cat is surface plugged for some reason, personally, I like the idea of keeping the factory cat in a sealed container, and running the cheap cat while driving (or run something "else") and running the factory cat while trying to smog... Recently Ive learned that the gasoline used to make the crud, works very well to clean it off of lots of things, from cats to O2 sensors
