FS: TD core block and head, NA core motor - N.C.
« on: April 04, 2012, 01:36:50 am »
Located in 27864

Have a 1.6TD head minus the pre-cups, I have them but they have cracks.
Came off a running motor but had well worn valve guides, been sitting on a shelf
for years, includes cam.  $50 plus shipping

1.6TD block and internals, from same running motor, had low oil pressure at hot idle, assuming intermediate shaft wear.
This has been sitting outside awhile, the bores are not pitted and will clean up with an overbore just fine.  $50 picked up

1.6D Hyd NA block with internals from 85 or 86 Jetta, trans still attached.  Never tried to run this,
assume it's a core, timing belt is off but did not break.  $50 picked up

1.6D mech NA block with internals, been sitting on floor inside for years.  Was a good
running high mile 1.6, cyl's showed some vertical scuffing, nothing crazy, has some surface rust on cyls and is dusty and cruddy.
$50 picked up

Need this stuff gone or it's gonna go for scrap weight in a junk car.

Many things we do naturally become difficult only when we try to make them intellectual subjects. It is possible to know so much about a subject that you become ignorant.

$80 for the pair plus the ride, sure.  If you can use a 3rd I can pull it off that other NA motor and do $110 for three.
Let me know

Eastern-ish, 27803 about an hour east of raleigh but it's possible I could make it to Raleigh sometime.

I think I've responded to everyone, the better NA head is in theory spoken for locally but not paid yet, an NA and TD head are
waiting a shipping quote and in theory sold after that.
Leaving two NA blocks and a TD block that all have guts in and assume need rebuild.
I haven't seen any money yet  ;D

I guess I'll get in line for the heads as well if the sales fall through  ;D
Though, I kinda would like to buy it ALL if I were to make the trip out there, unless you could meet me in between somewhere.
I suppose it would be frowned upon if I were to show up at your door with money and buy the heads out from under the buyers already lined up....  ::)

Yeah, I'm trying to be fair and give everyone a chance to jump here.  I'll deff let you know what the deal is in the next few days at worst.
I suspect I'm going to end up with the three short blocks available.

OK, all three heads sold, I have two NA short blocks and a turbo short block left.
Make me an offer on all three and come pick them up.

Hmmmm, that gets to be kinda difficult, eight hours one way for just the short blocks.... The only ride I've got that's reliable enough  ::) to trust with those distances only gets 20mpg  >:( . Any chance you'd be willing to meet somewhere in the middle?
