I particularly liked that snooty part at the end and the lack of no Pictures of the car in the ad. Doesn't REALLY want to sell it now does he?
And isn't Gahanna another word for Hades? Opps that's Gehenna, my bad.
Maybe for a 3K less you would consider slipping the timing belt on this one and driving it home. That is if you like shiny blue cars.

Ill cut a deal, ill sell my 1987 complete with rust for $2000 lol
I'll add rust to my 81 and increase the price to 4,000 and it will be a steal at that.
Good ol' Klumbis Ahia.....
I used to work at the Al Rosa on Sinclair. lol.
1981 Volkswagon Rabbit Diesel 1.6 (Project) Almost done!
Started to restore, has all body work done.
Has new paint, new bumpers, new window seal rubber, new brakes, new calipers, new clutch, new brake lines
Total rebuilt engine, even $750 injection pump installed, new radiator
What needs to be finished: timing belt needs to be put on and timed, I don't have the tool.
Lost interest, great project for someone that wants to finish!
Re the Portland CL ad...
Yeah right, just slip a timing belt on it. The real story is he tried to time it and it went "kaboom"
Or it's a total bondo job
Should be easy enough to PM and find out.
May not like the story we get. Something like stoooppiiiddd VW's why would anyone own one?
Seems like he is cashing in on the possible $5 a gallon fear in the future. Probably figures some clown with an SUV will jump on this instead of paying $120 to fill his pig up every time, and he can make a quick buck.
For sale: 1989 Jetta, rebuilt engine with 2.5k, Recaro interior (seats rock back and forth),Giles pump, am/fm/cd (1 disc), and 2.5 inch exhaust. Heat blows semi-hot and over 30 miles will warm the car (even with wind blowing through door seals). A/C needs recharging every 3 weeks but blows cold when its charged. Will not hold charge, has new floorpan under drivers seat, and 'small' rust behind front wheels. Normal dents and scratches for a 23 year old car with 226k on odometer.
Asking $15k. Thank you.
Perhaps we should price our cars by the mile. Like they do fruit or meat by the pound. Would a dollar a mile be fair? Then those older ones that have 260 to 320,000 miles would be worth a mint.
