...BTW your Bieber avatar is awesome.-Malone
410 just did a compound setup in the TDI section. I think he used the k14 and k24.
I am not a fan of the instant boost. I would like a "little" lag. The ALH I have with the vnt is full boost probably by 1700rpm. In slick/snowy conditions it really sucks. I little boost by 2,000 isn't bad, but full pull isn't my cup of tea. If the K24 I had on the 1.6 would have started to spool just a couple hundred rpm faster than what it did I think it would have been perfect for me. Maybe in my case a smaller IC? Just glad guys hear are trying it to see what can be done.
ROR, in order to prevent misinterpretation, you should include that you are dangerously over-fueled and that your VNT did not have functional vanes and they were stuck fully open.
i have a CRANKED UP PUMP.. it pours coals with or without the LDA hooked up.the collar on the fuel screw, its gone, and the fuel screw is threaded in like 3 full turns past the collar..
ROR, don't get your panties in a bunch. Your input is appreciated and I'm not meaning to criticize. I haven't ridden in your car, and as far as being over-fueled, I'm just taking your word for it. You have said it yourself in several other threads. Such as:Quote from: R.O.R-2.0 on March 10, 2012, 06:03:28 pmi have a CRANKED UP PUMP.. it pours coals with or without the LDA hooked up.the collar on the fuel screw, its gone, and the fuel screw is threaded in like 3 full turns past the collar..If you are "blowing coals" and your max fuel is THREE TURNS ABOVE STOCK, I GUARANTEE EGTs are way above 1500°F. Probably over 2000°. That is dangerously over-fueled. A stock pump EASILY has the capacity to dump enough fuel to melt the pistons well prior to being 'turned up all the way'.With properly functioning vanes, a VNT15 will produce boost waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy faster than a k24 AND still flow better at higher rpms.I'm just saying when you pop into a thread and say that the K24 spools faster than a VNT15 or that the VNT15 has better top end, without qualifying your specific and fairly idiosyncratic situation, you are potentially misleading folks who aren't experienced with those turbos.
