I got some Diesel Purge from parts place. The engine is running good, but I fugured "maybe it can run even better!" So this stuff isnt bad for the seals in the injection pump or anything is it?
Should be totally safe. Don't think it's as bad as ULSD if you haven't changed your seals yet.
Isn't that the stuff you're supposed to run straight-up through the pump and injectors to clean up any deposits left in them?
And as far as additive, I run this stuff called "Diesel Doctor" with Slickdiesel lubricant additive; I figure whatever is better than ULSD can help a little. Dump some in before filling up in accordance with mixing levels on the back of the bottle.
Purge is able to run the engine but you should read the instructions on using it as an additive. Not sure it will hurt. You pull the inlet and outlet hoses from the filter and add a piece on the out banjo. Run them into a can and add the purge. Start it up and let it mix a bit and try to fill the system with the greatest amount of purge as you can. Once that is done shut it off and let it sit for several hours then replace the line to the filter and start it up and catch the outflow until you are fairly sure it is mostly diesel. Then shut it down and reattach the line to the fuel tank to the tank. Start and check for leaks.
Should be better. Then look to add the left over purge/diesel combo to the next several tankfulls.
Guys that use this stuff on a regular basis correct this if I got it wrong. I think I am on square. DAS

I would hesitate to use it on a good running car just because it would be an economic waste. But I don't think it will hurt anything and your car may even run better.
use it in the injector pop tester too.... but yep idea is to run it straight thru the pump pure... then dump rest in tank when done..

When I first got the Eco I had that issue. Run a can of it through as described in another thread either here or on Vortex, and it assisted with this issue. I still had to adjust the idle a little bit to totally resolve the issue, but it will definitely not hurt your car. Its designed to be ran straight through the pump.
