Engine Mounts 2001 Jetta TDI
« on: March 07, 2012, 05:55:07 pm »
I am wondering if the engine mounts are a known bad spot on these cars. I think I have an issue and it is getting warm enough to do something about it. I know about as much as your common vortexer about the TDI cars, so please enlighten me if the mounts are to be replaced often or if it is just one of them or what the engine mount deal is. Any help appriciated.

anyone know if they engine mounts are bad areas or not. I have looked for rocking engine and I cannot find it, but I don't know how these ones are supported and if it is common for them to go bad.

My wife's 2000 TDI Beetle Mk4 platform has 367,xxx on the original engine mounts, so no I don't believe they are a problem area.

Stretch bolts have been replaced with every T Belt service.
