My 81 Jetta and other rides
« on: February 29, 2012, 01:38:47 pm »
So I recently just picked this car up for 500 bucks. As a daily driver. No not a beater but a daily I plan on keeping alive hahah.  I am a Volvo guy and I finally bought something other than a 240.  ;D The unfortunate thing is it was hit up front so the driver side of the frame is pushed down...not crunched just pushed down. So it looks like sloth from the goonies. Besides that the car is fairly clean and tracks straight.

Swapped in some Corrado seats or are they from a Scirroco?

I have a hard time calling this a piece, I actually enjoy it and would like to get it fixed.

Ill post pics of the other 3 cars I have.

Fastest I had at the track was 14.7 @ 94 mph and it was running like ***.
Ill be putting a tdo5hr-16g on it next.

looks like scirocco seats, could be mk1 gli seats, and a good bit of mk2s had those seats too.  what turbo was on your volvo for the 14.7 run?

Ah ok. Yea the Volvo had a t3/t4 on it. .48 cossie exhaust and a t04b off a dt466. Car was having some spark issues that night and the turbo was going bad. If it was running good and had good tires and I could launch it. It might of run a high 13 to low 14. Maybe even better.
