Thanks Thezorn,
What can be expected as far as power output and will this put a lot more pressure on the lower end?
I'm staying with stock con rods. With a Giles pump and stock turbo will the lower end be okey?
I just sent an e-mail to Giles.
Thanks
How do you wash a pressure washer?
And did you know that the 14th floor in a
hotel is actually the 13th floor!

what im getting at, is you dont NEED big valves unless you are striving for those insane power levels.. stock valves are good for 250hp or so..

250hp on stock valve size? Maybe, but with insanely high boost pressure :o

The 6k rpm limit is a limit given by the VE pump, an inline pump happily revs higher, just look at what the MB IDI builds are capable of.

yeah i am wondering where that number has come from
01 Jetta TDI 100% stock daily
81 Rabbit:TDI-M ported head, Frank06 cam, PD intake, hybrid T3 turbo, Renault intercooler, Syl20 11mm pump, light weight fw, and yellow California Clutch clutch kit

AAZ, and i should have said that you SHOULD be able to make over 200hp with the stock valves..

hell, josh has stock valves, and he claims 288 whp.. with only 35psi or something like that..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

I wonder what it would take to use a MB inline pump on a vw. Do they even turn the same direction?

the MB pumps are HUGE.. you ever laid hands on one?

andy2 has a 4BTA pump (bosch inline A pump) on his 400+hp compound turbo'd TDi.. but thats the only one ive ever seen..
