I've got a 1.6TD motor that I was going to re power a rabbit shell but that project has left the building. I bought it 'rebuilt' and only used once for a hill climb then I tore into things I replaced or fixed what I considered not done how I wanted. Here's some info I'm pulling together off the top of my head... (sorry, it's been awhile since I messed with it)
Mods I did: (the goal was to push 26psi of boost with this motor)
- 1.9 td metal head gasket
- added oil ports in the head
- rebuilt the ip
- new timing belt, roller, and bearing.
- I have GTD nozzles for it
- and probably some other things I can't remember off the top of my head.
I was looking to sell this as a bare block & IP (currently does not have the GTD nozzles installed)
I've got $1,500 tied up into this thing... While I realize I'm probably not going to get my money back out of it, it's sitting on an engine stand not doing me any good.
So, to make some space in my garage and clear out some old project remnants, for $1,500 you will also get two 1.6 TD motors that let go the timing belts and hosed the heads. one i was in the process of tearing down/rebuilding so it's in pieces, the other is sitting semi-undercover in a shed I have. I've got a bunch of other parts for idi motors and I have two 1.5 NA motors (which I believe are good cores, and have not blown their timing belts) as well as a 4k transmission. I'll throw you a package deal of all the idi motors and parts I have (turbo's manifolds/etc) in that price.
