When I read your comment on the Ming Blue Cabby on the other post I thought, he likes it cuz it is his same color scheme. But you did mention it was a diesel too.

Color had little to do with it actually. I like the uniqueness (minus the BBS wheels, of course). It would be a sweet ride.

Stop making us Jealous!
So shiny-- I looked at mine today as I had a hose in hand washing down the greenhouse and thought, the bunny needs this too. Sun went down to fast or I was to slow reassembling the greenhouse.
Tomorrow they say rain. Could wash but no waxing then.

I added them when I did the body last winter. It's one of the best changes I've made.

Do you plan for a redo of the hood pad? Or substitute some other form of sound deadening?
I think my big black pad it about as soaked in engine junk as I care to see it. Touch it and you come away very black and gooey.

Yes, I just picked up a good pad this winter. It will be cleaned, then coated with rubberized undercoating. I found this worked well in the past, and made the pad easy to clean in the future.

What do you use to clean it? I might be able to salvage mine and then coat it. Can you wash it at a car wash with a pressure washer? Or just plain old soap and water with a scrub brush?
Mine is in great shape but is ever so nasty to touch. Glad I wear a cap when I bump my head at times trying to get a look down the back of the engine.

I use a product called Spray 9. Spray it about 6 times over a period of a couple of hours, then use a pressure wash at the coin'op carwash. Cleans up just like new.

What brand/ product number/ length gas lift supports did you use? Did you build in reinforcement for them or just screw them into the sheet metal?
