I still want them, my wife still wants to kill me...I can't use them if I am dead. Good luck with the sale and if she would change her mind I will let you know immediately.

She wouldn't know if I got them even if I carried them in as I have a spare set of regular seats now...just like guitars all look the same in a case, vw seats are vw seats she wouldn't know. BUT if I sent 350.00 out that is the issue.

Maybe I could make several small payments and you could sit them in the car....hmmm.....I am thinking.

I know its a lot of money but I would rather keep these than give them away.  Someone needs to buy them and appreciate them so they don't rot in my garage.

Talked to her again and still no dice. I get the car running and it will be another story, if you still have them then.

My thoughts (and feel free to use it on her) EVERYTIME you use the car, you'll be using the seats. With the miles I put on my car, (750 this week) I'm soooo glad I got a set of Recaro's.

She is correct in ways. The car isn't even running now, if it was running it would be different.

If you still have these come summer I will buy them, if you sell them I will keep looking, but I need the car moving first.

Still got one of those TD grille badges?  Will they fit on the westy MK1 grilles?  And what is you're asking price on the one w/ all tabs on it?

Just an FYI... the foam bolsters are still available for these seats, so you can repair the typically collapsed driver's side bottom bolster.
I'm in the middle of rehabbing a set I got locally; I took the upholstery off and ran it through the wash, looks like brand new.
Got the new bolster on Ebay from the UK. With current exchange rate, it's about $48, and $12 shipping.

How is the shape of the foam?  Does it look original?  I know the bolsters are different for the power and non power.  Thanks for the help!

As show above, that's the one I got for mine, which is the power seat.
The non-power seat I don't think is a real Recaro... the base is not detachable. I needed the real thing, since I'm transplanting these into a Vanagon; I had to ditch the power base.
The foam shape is identical to the original... which is a Recaro LS-B. You have to trim a small triangle of foam off of the forward inside edge where it wraps around the front lip of the seat base; right where that little cutout is in the pic, otherwise it's a perfect fit.
