WTB, 1.6 hydraulic head
« on: January 31, 2012, 06:46:21 pm »
So I gave up on my golfs head, lots of work into it but it's out of spec and the valves aren't closing.

I have valves and a cam so a bare head would be perfect, and make shipping cheaper.

Must not be warped or abnormally cracked, loose precups are also a no no.

Let me know what you have and we can go from there. I don't want a chinese head but will take a topline if someone has one laying around.

Thanks

'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

I got this head complete from a junkyard car and took the pictures below.  I have never busted an engine open before so am not even sure at what I'm looking at.  Only thing I noticed is this head doesn't seem to have those cracks inbetween the holes people talk about being so common?
