Yeah wow. The price too. I could almost get a MKIV TDI for that. I had a '74 Mazda pickup, in similar showroom condition with only 36k miles. Bluebook was about $500, although I kept insisting it was worth more as a collectors item.....
that '79 diesel is much better car for the money. with only 32,000 miles that car would last forever if well cared-for. i wouldn't mind the power of the TDI in the rabbit. :lol: just depends what you want in a car. mkI has staying power.
Yeah, I agree. My friend just sold his '99 TDI jetta, and bought a '82 rabbit instead -- wanted a more reliable and cheaper to maintain (if much slower) car.
looks familar
kinda like my daily 79...but much cleaner paint and a 2 door (i've always wanted a 2dr...always find the 4dr's though
)
It could use a little boost in power...but gets me where I need to go each and every day like a champ... and VERY solid. Just wish it didn't have the funky sunroof...

solution: 1.6L TD engine in the rabbit!
nice looking rabbit, rabbitGTDguy... i've always liked that colour. its one of those i don't think i will personally ever own, but every time i see inari on a rabbit it makes me smile
$6600 with seven days to go, still.
I'll take my Jetta, thank you very much

I love the color...if I keep this one and redo it (after the mTDI for the GTD is done...) i'm def. keeping the color. Would really look nice with chrome handles, flag mirrors, a Votex rack
, etc. etc...
