Maybe this should end up as a sticky of what not to do.

Clarification:

N 902 061 03  M10x1x19.5  (These are sholdered)  Comes with Blue Loctite Stripe  P Plate to Crank Bolts  6 needed

        N 100 134 01  M7x40x20    (These are 12pt 9mm heads)  No Loctite  Flywheel to P Plate  9 needed

Crank Bolts are big fat suckers, Flywheel Bolts are skinny long ones.

And my bad agaain...25 ft lbs on Lubricated bolts is more like 30 + ft lbs on dry bolts....Yep, over torgued them sukers. :'( So Autohaus AZ to the rescue. Should get new bolts come Fri morn..............Gods I hope!

Will get this right (lol) ...........well..........heck yes!

Thanks for all the help!

pps: Check broke vw for neat trick using combo wrench and bolts to "lock" the P Plate to loosen/tighten those 6 bolts

I didn't think the 1.6TD ever had a 210mm. All the 210mm I have seen have been 9 bolts.

IMPORTANT INFO!!!!!!!!

Just got off phone with Loctite, and:

      1) You can use Red on either side of the blue that is already applied to a bolt.

      2) IT DOES act like an "oil type" lubricant. If you want 15 ft lbs, torque to
between 8 and 10 ft lbs. I do not think this applies to the pre-applied.

Bolts will (hoping with crossed fingers) be here on Fri "by end of business day". Or when the UPS guy dropps by.

Will keep you all in the loop.

i could be wrong. maybe they did only have 200mm clutches.. would make sense as to why my plate only had 6 bolts..

UPS guy got here, got the bolts in. 22 ft lbd does not seem like a lot, its that 1/4 turn that REALLY tightens things up. A little blue and 10 ft lbs later, the flywheel is attached. Trans goes in come morning.

Hummmm, gots us some snow coming down now.....what joyfull fun this could be!

Thanks once again to all of you for your help.

Okay, First........

                                 THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually that's it.

Got the trans in, everything hooked up (Except the backup lites) and  crusied......NOT! :o.

Gone are my 1, 3, 5 shifts......25mph in fifth....not so easy now....Which is good....might be able to get better than 30 mpg.

Okay, the trans I took out was an FK close ratio...I thought I was going to .....ummm you know....ummmmm . Anyway that idea fell through. So I am back with an FF. Kept the short(ish) shifter stuff.

Once more with feeling........

                             TANKS ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
