Yup, you're crazy haha. Looks pretty cool though and that exhaust is awesome.....
i love my b3 wagon i made into a 1.6td years ago... nut i can say this... b3 have such a low value when you find one needing a tranny or engine that a full swap to me is easier then fixing all that rust..
but looks good... hope the plate no fall out like it does in the movies... ohhh wait no way it can go that fast
I like your fabrication work. Looks nice and sturdy.
looks kind of what my golf looks like now lol
I was thinkin the same thing, this looks like it should be junked. But after seeing the floor pans, I was sold, Ill definitely be watching.
Nice work.
You polish that turd man! Polish it till it shines!
Great job. Less pollution than junking it and buying a newly manufactured car. One of the cases where the floor pans rotted out from the inside and the subframe and rockers are still good.

It's lots of fun too!
The rust thing freaked me out. The car was undercoated every second year and if you looked under it it looked fine... until you pulled the carpet. From inside the car it looked as if the carpet had eaten the sheet metal and left a imprint of the floor in the tar/undercoating. And other than that strut tower, there is no rust what so ever (other than some small superficial stuff.
You have to live in eastern Canada to know how much salt they put on the road and how hard it is on cars. Here, MK3's don't rust, they melt.

Or in southern Sweden,.. we have the same problem with salt here

Good luck with the construction
