Inside or outside of the car? I don't think anything runs door to door (drivers to passenger side) because the tunnel is in the middle. I think you are talking about this piece, http://lp1.pinkbike.org/p4pb7479018/p4pb7479018.jpg Each side has one of these. The front of the seat attaches to it and when you pull the lever to slide the seat back and forth, it's connected to this piece.

Tyler, IIRC it was pics, 7,8,9. They had a channel inside the car that was on both sides. They basically met under the E-brake handle, and behind the shift lever. The part from top banana does not seem to have it, which is why I am picking the brains of the people here. FWIW, maybe I can use the piece in there at present, but again,  I like to get my ducks lined in a row. Thanks again.

You are the man. If you would like, check that link @ topbananaperts I posted, or do you know of a place that has what I need as well. That link doesn't show it, and I do not see that part listed. Unless I missed it.

Again, many thanks.

partsplaceinc.com has floor pans as well, but I don't know what you are needing.

Definitely need the floor pan, but I am going to play it safe and figure I need the brace that goes across from door to door. I'm even less of a body guy than I am a diesel guy (imagine that!), but I would like to know what I might need to get it done. This car is becoming like a boat ($$$), but once the floor pans and exhaust are done, it's going back on the road. And I think it will be good enough to drive it across the Country in February. Electrical should be done this week.

Thanks for the tip, but I just checked Parts place, and they are out of stock. Any other places who might have them, please let me know. Unless I am using the wrong words to google, all I am finding is Parts place and top banana parts out of Lynchburg, Va.

I have a feeling he may do the same to keep the cost down. I guess it really doesnt matter what you use once you coat and it and throw carpet over it.... :)

Next Year I may do the Trans-Canada Highway and Pacific Coast Highway. I owe you a few beers, my friend..

Before I have this part made, does anyone have any idea where to get one, or have a Mk2 Jetta they are taking apart? Please let me know. Many thanks.

if its the same piece in a 92 german production GLI jetta, as what you have, then yes.. i have one. black shell in my back yard..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

Well, your knowledge of Mk2 VW's is much more superior to mine, as we know :). If that is the piece you have, let me know what you want for it (labor included, if need be).

Just curious, does anyone have an exploded parts diagram for the Jetta interior, or this part number? Three dealers have sent me exploded diagrams of the rear floor panel and trunk. And trying to describe this piece is driving me nuts... :)

As usual, MANY thanks to all.

"Looking for it" I meant as in I knew you had the part. I do need the part asap, but if you cant get to it anytime soon, no probem and thanks for the stepping up. I looked on a few other sites, so I'm keeping my options open to get one. Any help is appreciated.
