I had made my own pump out of good parts and resealed everything and timed it up and put it on the car a couple months ago. I had to adjust the fuel screw a bit and the stoppers were out to work on everything.
One thing I forgot to do when tweaking things is adjust the throttle cable throw and adjust the max rpm stopper. I have a bently manual and it does give a number for the high rpm and I have a tach.
So as is the max stop is backed way off and the throttle is held back by the adjustment at the pedal inside. When driving it, it feels like you run out of gas at almost 3/4 down even though you can continue to press it to the floor.
I am no techie and was just wondering if I need to simply set that on the driveway by racing the engine?
Was also wondering if this could somehow cause extra smoke only when the turbo is under boost? When I put the pump back in the car it seemed I couldn't get rid of this small trail of darker smoke under boost which isn't what I would call normal for the car. Typically it just let out some puffs of black inbetween high speed shifts and nothing when steady on the throttle with normal driving. Now if I hold the pedal down the t3 turbo hits about 10 on the boost gage at most and will hold steady with pedal but the smoke comes on like that just when its boosting and it doesn't clear up.
Thanks for any info!

if its got a governor, it dont matter. it will still hit the governor.
if it doesnt have a governor, then it lets you rev till the rollers in the pump skip..
revving to the red line is revving to the red line no matter what..

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.
