you might have to wait for the "gods" to answer the question about them fitting a 1981.. i don't know things like that

but they are for sale!

they fit ONLY mk2, and mk3 cars as a direct bolt on..

they will fit a rabbit with LOTS AND LOTS of modifications.. but absolutely will not bolt on..
