in place of the poppet valve on the intake mani. yet? Dave at passenger performance finish it?
Anyway, I have an issue with my turbo boost. So far my poppet valve has a rubber hose in it to keep it shut for now. Ive installed a wastegate controller like the one posted a while back which uses a hobbs pressure switch and a vacuum solenoid from a dodge. Its all hooked up. However once my boost hits 15psi, something blows it off (drops to around 10) and starts climbing to 15 again. Did i do something worng? Or is it not possible to maintain my max boost using this setup? Or is my stupid poppet valve still leaking?
Anyone know what can cause this symptom?
thanks guys.

a sawed off length of broom handle clamped into the safety valve's outlet hose is perfectly good. Maybe it's not expensive enough.
I repair, maintain and modify VW's and BMW's.
Good work done at affordable rates. Welding and fabricating, too.
Performance Diesel Injection's Super Pump: gotta have one!

Yeah I made and sold a few but don't currently have anything. I used to use the broom stick handle like what dr.D is saying there, I think we ran bretts coupe up toi 35psi that way with no leaks. I know vw mike is selling some nice block of plates www.tdtuning.com
