Altitude sensing = boost sensing?
« on: October 02, 2011, 02:53:43 pm »
I bought an 89 mk2 N/A 1.6 Jetta (code ME) a few days ago to fix the motor and flip. One of the first things I noticed though was the injection pump had a LDA. The vacuum hose went the vacuum pump and t'd off to a wierd contraption on the passenger fender. Come to find out this is an altitude adjustment.

Well...even though this is not a TD car...can this injection pump be used in a turbo application.

Thanks,

Jason

nevermind. Should have searched. I guess it can!

My neighbor is buying the Jetta so I'll see if he wants to go turbo:)
