• I had an '85 190d for a winter.  Loved it, but hated the automatic.  My Rabbit was about 10 times more fun to drive though, better mileage, cheaper ect, so I ditched it.....Everyone has a phase I guess  The W201 is a wonderful piece of engineering though, I'll have another someday.

• That red one had 24 valve engine too when my friend bought it few years ago. He wanted more power and changed 2,8 gasser. Dynoed 560hp (disapointed) and drove 11,5/127mph at quarter. Nice daily driver Best with diesel was 426hp and 12,8/~112mph. Om606 is easily capable lots of more power.
