k03 turbo from an AHU to AAZ

I have a diesel vanagon with an AAZ from a 96 golf. The turbo is a k03 and needs new turbines and shaft. I'm having trouble finding these parts. Any ideas? How compatible is this engine with say a turbo from an AHU.  would I need new manifolds/ downpipe flange to run an AHU turbo.  ( I would also have to have it clocked since my engine is at 45 degrees.    Thanks, Paolo

The AHU manifold and turbo will physically bolt to the AAZ head.. I am unsure on fitment and what not.. The k03 on the tdi manifold is low mounted so im not sure how it will work. Are you trying to replace the k03 that originally came on the aaz? I think their fairly different?

yes i'm trying to replace or repair (new turbine shaft assembly) the k03 that originally came on my AAZ.   Paolo

they sell LOTS of 1.8T K03 turbos on ebay.. CHEAP.

the diesel versions, not soo common..

I meant the shaft and impellers.....  but they may be different also! 


What is your timeframe for needing one?  I have a few k03s right now, but won't know what I have surplus for a few weeks.
