Injector Pump
« on: January 30, 2006, 09:04:23 pm »
I am looking to sell the injector pump off of my 89 N/A diesel engine. It has about 120,000 miles on it. It has the LDA and is in very good shape, I had no problems at all with it. I swapped in a TD due to a bad head gasket on my N/A. PM me with a reasonable offer and it is yours.

Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug,
Since the pump now has LDA, would it be like the pumps from TD motor?

I am not really sure the difference between the turbo pumps and the N/A pumps because the pump I have on my turbo diesel which is an ecodiesel does not have the LDA boost enrichment device. I think the "real" turbo diesel pump looks exactly like the N/A pump. The N/A pumps have LDA like the TD. I think if you search the forum some say you can use the N/A pump interchangably with the turbo pump as long as the timing is set right. You will have to double check me on that one though.

Thanks,
Doug

mummn all th etd pumps i've seen have th lda aneroid pump top..soem of th en/a engiens use this pump but with out a pin that works the same way as a td it works opposite..i beleive you can modify these to work liek a regular lda td pump...but normal n/a pumps do not have a aneroid..they are flat on the top... i hope that helps..

Blake look where the vacuum lines go I think you have to reverse them to make it a td pump..if I remember right, the na aneroid pump during higher altitude driving the pin falls down for more fuel..and come up when at sea level ..its supposde to be a altitude adjusting setup..I think the vent port on that pump was on the top of the aneropid and the vacuum was where the vent normally was...I think...
