Adjusting valves
« on: August 08, 2011, 06:04:40 am »
Does anybody knows if I can adjust the valves on a 82 Mk1 with the old tool (VW546) the curved one, instead the newer (2078), without problems?
Because that's the one I have.
There's a sticker on the valve cover showing the old one with a big red cross.

Thanks.

well, i would avoid using the old tool, especially if it says not to..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.
