So i recently rebuilt my vnt15 with a kit from G pop shop and ever since then (about 80 miles) its smoked pretty bad when it idles after cruising speeds. Its not pure blue but a mix between blue and white. So i'm afraid that i may have incorrectly installed the rebuild kit

, I took my time and was very careful when i did it and all of the piston ring seals had under the maximum tolerance for movement . but before i do something brash and send it away and blow more money on it, is there a break in period? or do the new piston ring seals need to set in?
Just an update, i talked to a fellow from g pop shop and one thing he said to check was my pcv system and make sure it vents correctly, i had never thought of it till now, as its made it this far and never gave me problems (but the more i think about it the more it makes since, its always leaked oil from the dipstick and other odd places and i've always had troubles with both turbo's leaking oil). The pcv outlet has always been close to my intake tube so i wedged it over some and made sure the vent host going to the intake wasn't kinked and low and behold on my test drive it didn't smoke a bit of blue the whole time!! So hopefully it holds out and i won't have to throw more money at this thing
For what it's worth, I had the same problem.
It was a pinched hose. I replumbed all the EGR hoses. It is fine now!!

p.s. I bet it was making 10 psi in the crankcase!
Yea i've put a lot more miles on it now and no smoke at all, other then black anyways

10 psi is alot! not many seals that would put up with that
Yea so i don't know what's going on now, my egr line isn't blocked and now its smoking again just as bad as before. And something new that its doing now is at low engine speed and no boost the normal turbo whistle (no muffler) that i hear is now fluttering up and down in pitch very fast. I'm at a loss. What the hell is going on?
im sad for you man

drive it to richmond and ill look @ it

Its done, it has destroyed the bearings in less then 150 miles..... i took it off and there is 3/16 of an inch of play up and down, as if i grabbed each end of the shaft and lifted up and down at the same time. So its off to Gpop shop just like it should have when i bought it. The turbine appears to have rubbed the housing bad enough to change its overall size. So i'll need a new shaft i'm sure. o well sometimes the best lessons learned are learned the hard way
I kinda figured that was yer fluttering sound ;(
