Anyone know and have done the job?
Anyone? Currently the turbo has been disconnected from the drain line but is stuck to the oil pan. Can the drain line and oil pan be removed without removing the motor mount? The drain line had a few bends in it and is captured in the motor mount.
I re read and I don't know. I have not seen one with the drain line in the mount. I would assume it is only bolted to it? Other than that I would have no way to know if you have to take it off or not.
I would for sure think there is no way to remove the oil pan with the turbo connected to it. The drain line yes but you should be able to break that connection loose at the oil pan.
On mine the drain line runs through an opening in the motor mount. Isn't it the same on yours? The drain line flare fitting on the oil pan is frozen thus the reason to remove it as an assembly so I can free it and paint it.
