Anyone know the best way in pulling the injection pump shaft seal please post pics of the tool you use and tips and tricks. Is there a special tool for such a small seal? The shaft is 17 mm diameter and the seal is about 1/4 inch wide.

notch an old flathead screwdriver on the side so it becomes a small pry.

Works a charm.

OK I figured it out! The crucial thing is to support the screwdriver so it is not prying against the seal itself! I used a big box wrench.

Here's what my modified screwdriver looks like. A bit out of focus. A long screw driver helps with leverage. The one I used is about 12"

Cleaning up the shaft sealing surface before the new seal goes in.
