200-250 ft lbs maybe?

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

i think that is about the range, the lower rpm they make power, the more they fail.  they are stronger than most people act like they are tho.

i still have a governor. its called pump rollers skipping. lol.

my motor still only pulls to a certain RPM, even in neutral. doesnt turn scary revs.. prolly ~6000...

You've got more balls than I do! :P

enough boost is when you have 3 dimple marks in the hood from the valve cover nuts..  ;D

dude, andy2 used a cummins P pump. they are capable of fueling a motor enough that it can spin to bits..

a 1.6 gasser will happily spin 8k rpms.. these bottom ends are VERY SIMILAR to the gasser 1.6, aside from the much tougher pistons..

these motors are pump limited, not bottom end limited..

up in tire smoke?

yup, it would just blow the tires off. 2nd gear, you gotta let off to shift in my car.

they make race slicks for problems like this

i like the way you think!

my transmission, however, does not. lmao..

i want to find some small slicks for my car and put it on the strip before winter gets here.

a great friend of mine has a turbo del sol, for 1/8 mile drag racing we used to do, we had 12" slicks ;D

thats how i always see it, the valve train can handle it no problem, rods are a little heavier but that is all on the bottom end.  the only thing i think that makes it hard to rev them high(aside from being diesel) is the high compression.

once i get this clutch in were going to have to make a trip to south mountian or cecil and run this thing

what did you use, like an 8" wheel?

i seriously have a hard time picturing a 12" slick. lol.. that would make a car look soo goofy!
