Wow you are lucky! Is that why you burn your money?
I am noticing rust in the block coolant passages from the high amount of water I added. What's the best way to get rid of the rust before filling with G12?
Once I had everything back together I filled it up with water and then used one of those rad flush things and just keep flushing until it came out clean.
Good news! Head pressure tested good- no leaks. Gotta order parts and put it back together. I have a set of valve stem seals. Should I put them in and lap the valves? The shop vacuum tested the valves and said it held 28" of hg, so the valves are sealing well.
