I never liked the look of VW buses ... until I saw the first picture he posted of this one.
This picture was even better ... it's like a big metal puppy.

You should but a twin engine in it. I'm thinking 2    1.9tt's and all wheel drive with 150 shot of nitrous on both

(gosh the thoughts running through my head)

BULLY!

As the other AC/WC organ transplanter (just call me Dr. Christian Barnyard) here, I sure want to be kept informed on the progress of this uberkool project.

I'm slogging along doing a lot of time consuming rust exorcisim on my TD P-car, but I'm in it for the long haul.

I think I can, I think I can, (repeat)

If your interested, follow my progress (or lack there of) on my CarDomain site: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2145693

nice split, was it originally a 21-window deluxe or has he made some changes? looks like deluxe beltline and roof but not much else. i love the deluxe roof with the slider *extreme jealousy*.

plans are get the thing welded up and on the road. i have a lot of bodywork ahead of me and we're still trying to get the shop done so i can get to work. its a solid bus but its all relative. its a '66 VW so there is metal work to be done  check out the pic. going stir crazy right now but the plan remains may 20/21 weekend i take it down to the allegany mountains for the first 'field test'   find and resolve any issues and keep going further from home with each trip.

next winter i'll do all the dreamer *** i want to do. this summer i just want to enjoy it. can't wait.

I think I recognize that van. That fellow and a bunch of others used to colonize the former Manore marina in Grand Bend every holiday weekend. I lived in a condo across the street from the old marina and had to listen to their shenanigans... :D They (and many, many others) are the reason I now bought a house 5 miles "inland".... :D

Grand Bend was great fun when I was 20...
