« on: January 27, 2006, 08:19:35 pm »
Hmm, thought I'd posted up here, but I guess not. Here goes...

Garage is getting full, so here we go.
1989 Diesel Engine (Runs good) -
$400
1989 5 speed Tranny for above Diesel (90mm flanges) ACN code  $150
***For those astute and savvy guys out there, you will have no doubt noticed that this tranny wasn't mounted to stock diesels (which, for my model, came with an AGS, AOP, or 4S tranny code). This tranny has served me very well and is in good working order....of note, without me noticing that there were different gearing ratiois for 3rd, 4th, and the final drive. ------damned conscience!!!! ******

Tranny Consoles (2 - for 020 5 speed tranny) - $10 each.
MKII Dash (actually in fairly poor repair) - free.
MKII Pedal Cluster (Cable clutch) - $80
8V Head (Dismantled) - $40
MKII downpipe (was mounted to diesel) - $30
Passenger side headlight (mint-lived whole life under lens cover) $50
NA Small bumpers (slightly abused - rebar still good) - $80 for both
SOLD - MKII Jetta Big Bumpers w/rebar (may need new skin for front (I'll probably strip and reassemble these.
Jetta rear window - $25 (if you can pull the seal without killing it, it's yours too)
Jetta Rear hatch (no black insert) no rust - $40
Jetta rear doors (super blue - in decent repair) with door cards and glass - $40 each
8V clutch (untested) - $15
Front MKII 8V subframe with mount - $40
Rear MKII 8V subframe with tranny mount (no rear engine mount) - $40
8V distributor - $5
86 GL Heather controls. - $10 (sale pending)
86 GL dash cluster - $25
Jetta tails (right slightly cracked, left good) - $25 for left, $10 for right
Switches and whatnot - just ask
8V starter (pretty new) - $30
8V alternator - $25
Diesel Radiator (big one) - $25
[/list]

Hell, just ask me for what you need and I'll try to post a picture of it. I'll even cut you some sheet metal if you want (less to take to the scrapyard later)

The engine is a 1989 non-Turbo Diesel (1.6L ME code engine).

That 86 GL cluster - is that a TD cluster, or gasser, or what are we talking?

I could use a CE1 TD cluster in my 85 Jetta... tachometer good :D

I have 2 clusters and one casing (I used the other one for my mad scientist testing for the swap). I could put the guts of the Diesel cluster into the 8V. The diesel cluster doesn't have a tach, but the 8V does, so I imagine it would work.

Heck, the 8V one might work too, apart from the glow plug pieces and whatnot. I'll do a little research on the Bentley and see how compatible they are...
